Looking for some Motivation?

Tuesday, October 9th, 2012

Someone asked me how I motivate people and I thought it was a really great question. One of the main reasons why people hire me as a motivational speaker is because I am different. I’m not an employee or manager, I’m not the “same old same old” in the box speaker they’ve seen a million times. I bring a freshness, a newness and a positivity that is hard to bring to your own team at times.

Often, if you are already viewed as being in a position of responsibility, then your own attempts at motivating a team may not be successful. It’s like how we can all take advice from professionals but if our family gave us the same advice we sometimes don’t hear it as valuable.

Many people will have already heard what you have to say and so it may have less of an effect. If you want your employees to have as much enthusiasm for their work as they do for checking Facebook, Twitter and playing online games at  Foxybingo.com, then a motivational speaker might be just what you need to distract them in a good way. Having a fresh face speak to people able what they might hope to achieve can be one of the best ways to create an impact. Good energy often needs to be injected from an outside source in order for it to have a lasting effect.

Imagine if your employees came into work feeling excited, refreshed, focused and happy! What a wonderful workplace that would be! And I guarantee that more work would get done because of the motivation that comes with a positive work place.

If you are keen to reignite the drive on your team, re-create an amazing work place culture and have some more fun at work then a motivational speaker may be just what the doctor ordered! Contact me today to discuss your team’s needs and how I can bring motivation and fun.

I am currently sitting at Starbucks after an amazing exchange with a client. I came here to meet with an energetic and wonderful woman about health products and

This woman asked to sit with me for a moment and we had a short chat.after she left I saw a woman I recognized from previous Happy Monkey Club talks I had done.

What she told me next made my entire day!

She told me she had been thinking about me that morning because she was coming to Starbucks to meet a woman about an opportunity. She was nervous and started to get scared and panic about how far this was outside of her comfort zone.

What would she do if she started to stutter? What if she said the wrong thing? What if she wasn’t good enough?

Then I popped into her mind, she told me, and she remembered a talk I had given about letting go of our fears in service of doing great things. She began to breathe and made it to the meeting!

When I asked her how the meeting went, she shoo’ed it away saying it was fine, but that the bigger lesson was that she made it to the meeting.

It was an amazing feeling to know I had touched someone in such a way as to open up their possibilities and encourage greatness. In the end it has nothing to do with me and a lot to do with her own strength and power!

Her experience reminds me that sometimes the most empowering part can be the realization that we are more than enough!

Thank you and have an amazing Friday!

Unlimited Radio Failure!

Sunday, May 13th, 2012

This past Friday I was on Stephanie Staples’ radio show “Your Life Unlimited” on CJOB along side Connie Lynne (author of “Failure Isn’t An Option, It’s a Necessity”) and what an amazing show it was! The show was focused on the topic of FAILURE and how getting comfortable with it creates more success in our lives.

We had a great chat about our failures, how to have fun while failing and lessons on approaching failure with a sense of joy! It was great and at one point all three of us said BRILLIANT simultaneously! Haha!

Listen to the show here and let me know what you think!
